I had a full right hip replacement performed by Mr Lusty on 02-12-20 at the Wellsley hospital as an NHS patient. By the following day I was up and walking around using only one walking stick as a support, all my previous arthritic pain had gone. Now some seven weeks later I can honestly say that Mr Lusty surgical skill has transformed my movement and I am now regularly walking five miles at a time with no problems.I can thoroughly recommend Mr Lusty if you need a hip replacement and will not hesitate in seeking his assistance if and when I need my other hip replaced. I received exactly the same care and treatment as any private patient would receive.

Just imagine having a Total Hip Replacement on the 28 November 2020 and walking out of Hospital, pain free and without the need for any level of support whatever on the afternoon of the 29th November 2020. Even now, signed off just 6 weeks later, I am astonished at the professionalism and skills of this very special Surgeon who is able to transform someone's lifestyle in such a short space of time.
If you ever need this type of Surgery, then he is the name that should be top of your list.
A very grateful patient who is pleased to pass on this level of recommendation to others who may have to follow.

I had my right hip replaced by Mr Lusty on the 28/11/20 and have nothing but praise for the work done and after care received from the team involved along with the nurses and physios. Constant pain that was there prior has totally disappeared so thoroughly enjoying the dog walking again. Thank you to everyone at the aspire.

Mr Lusty is brilliant at his job. He is calm, reassuring and completely professional he listens and understands your needs and concerns.
I had my right hip replaced in November 2020. All my pain has gone and I can walk, ride my bike and even play football in the garden with the grandkids. Amazing!!!

I have been a consultant orthopaedic surgeon since 2007. I completed international fellowships specialising in joint replacement and sports medicine surgery. I am an expert in hip and knee surgery.
I specialise in hip and knee surgery. I perform minimally invasive joint replacement surgery, revision (redo) joint replacement surgery of the hip and knee. I also practice soft tissue knee surgery such as arthroscopy (keyhole surgery), and arthroscopic anterior cruciate reconstruction surgery, and meniscal (cartilage) repair and resection.
I have been running a busy consultant practice for over ten years. I have performed more than 2000 primary joint replacements (hips and knees) and more than 200 revision joint replacements (redo hips and knees) on the national joint registry. My outcomes outperform the expected in terms of revision rates on the national joint register and patient function from Amplitude outcome data (from data of over 1000 patients at Spire Wellesley) I perform many knee arthroscopic procedures including anterior cruciate reconstructions.
